About Kerry…

In a nutshell, Kerry Arsenault has been a competitive athlete since 1979. She competed for the University of Rhode Island on scholarship and graduated with a BS in Wildlife Biology. She continued on with a Masters in Human Performance and finally completed her studies in Massage Therapy in Dec 2007.

After working at Yale for 14 years  as a Research Associate in the Department of Neurosurgery, she decided to pursue another career which led her to CCMT where she enrolled in the Massage Therapy program.

During her studies at CCMT, Kerry worked in retail at a local running store in Branford, CT. She conducted shoe fitting clinics at local schools, hospitals, and Health and Wellness fairs as well as selling shoes and clothing.

She decided to become a massage therapist because she felt there was a need to help others stay active with the understanding that the emotional aspect of not being able to do the things you normally do can be almost worse than the injury itself!

Kerry’s sport of running has helped her become well known in her community.  She was Athlete of the Month in the New England Runner magazine in Nov/Dec 2004 issue. Now she is currently trying out triathlons.

With her athletic background,  she has gained insight of what the body can do and how it responds to injury. This is an asset for her as a massage therapist to be able to  understand what others go through in training or just being active. The body is remarkable in its ability to heal!
