That reminds me i also tumbled well ok twice but no one saw the first one !!! While the second i landed also gently into a flat muddy weedy area and couldn’t get up !! So maybe it is flatish

I, of the two legged, and usually not hairy, variety Bimbler also took a thrilling fall on the downhill coming toward Route 77 after the Bluff. I got pretty good “hang time” and landed pretty hard onto the only stretch of rock-free trail on the entire course, I think.

Just for clarification, the ‘hairy guys’ are not stars of the Geico commercial, but two dogs that appeared to conclude (correctly) that the quickest descent of Bluff Head was via the cliff face. They survived to tell the tale but any contributions to the BS Veterinary Fund will be greatly appreciated!

Who believes that the Bluff course is flat? The ‘goat’ loop seems like 3 hours uphill, with 99 out of every 100 steps being categorized as ‘hazardous.’ We have only to recall a recent ‘bite’ where 2 of our most seasoned (and hairy) runners were seriously injured! Just have them sign up & take a bimble in our shoes. We’ll see if they can keep up!
