The Arkansas Traveller 100 has been named as the alternative event in the 2008 Grand Slam following the cancellation of the Western States. The race will be held in the Ouachita National Forest on October 4th – 5th, 2008

I know what you are thinking. As a purist you are not going to feel you did the Grand Slam without doing Western States. I doubt that the Arkansas Traveller can compare to it. It is however a great feat to accomplish. Think of it as a Grand Slam trial series for the real thing next year.
