Deena Kastor was the last winner of the New York Road Runners Mini 10k road race, winning the world’s oldest women-only race in 2004. This year’s race is this Sunday, June 7 in Central Park

    I am familiar with “maxi” 10Ks like “The Bash”, but what is a “mini” 10K, like, 5 miles?
