Curly’s Marathon News

Three blind mice went to Curly’s (why mice and why blind? This was also the theme of the pre-race reading at Iroquios.) One won his age group and one won the ladies race outright! The other, finished in a time of 6:48. Nice job guys!

N.O.V participated in the Ragnar Relay for local team SoundRunner over the weekend of September 11 and 12. Oddjob was on hand to cheer him on proving that at least one of them had obvious value! :-)

Madison Sprint Tri

ScoobieIt may not be common knowledge but the veritable dynamo who competes under the name Scoobie, finished the Madison Sprint Triathlon on September 12th in a time of 1:42:07 and placed first in her age group. Bravo Scoobie!

Where do I begin? I thought about this moment on more than one occasion during the race. Actually, the thought was more about being in a position to describe a successful account, than the detail of its content. Now it is funny to think about and reflect on those long hours wondering through the Wasatch high country because looking back it all feels like it happened so fast. No, I’m not trying to kid myself that I traversed those hills like a speed demon, it is just that with hindsight while it took 28:43 hours to complete the Wasatch Front 100 it feels little more then the blink of an eye in my memory.
