It’s hard to imagine that it won’t be too long before running in the woods will have to be followed with a tick check afterwards. If you have a dog, you may even have to be on the lookout for the little critters even sooner. Removing ticks is sometimes tricky but the Tick Key is a neat gadget that was designed and manufactured here in Connecticut. Read more

Nature News has just published an article about Harvard professor Daniel Lieberman who has ditched his trainers and started running barefoot. His research shows that barefoot runners, who tend to land on their fore-foot, generate less impact shock than runners in sports shoes who land heel first. This makes barefoot running comfortable and could minimize running-related injuries. Read more

Bimblers Bash 10k(ish) Registration

The 4th Bimbler’s Bash is scheduled to take place on Sunday April 11th, 2010 and run through Westwoods, Guilford. Registration is now open via mail or on-line at Active.com. This race is a 10k event but runners should be aware that “… at the end it isn’t over …”

The logo for this year’s Bimbler’s Bash which reflects the slogan “…at the end it isn’t over…” has been created by designer and fellow runner Cathi Bosco.
What is the inspiration for the slogan? I guess you can’t get enough of a good thing!
