I have not always liked running.  Growing up in the 1970’s I used to run with my Dad around our neighborhood.  There was a circle near our house that by report was ¼ mile and we would run 6 circles or for 15 minutes that we counted off on a kitchen timer.  The scenery was not great (it was near a swamp) and overall the experience did not inspire a love for running.  [Read more...]

The weather forecast during the week had predicted a beautiful day. After having worked seven days a week for the last five weeks the timing could not have been better. So, WAY back when, IGGY had started the theme of Spring 50Ks, and I expanded her theme by listing an exhaustive compilation of spring races, from Holiday Lake in February, all the way to Pineland Farms at the end of May. Seneca Creek seemed to fit our collective Bimble sensibilities due to the “low key” nature of the race, although several griped at the lack of shirts. [Read more...]
