No it isn’t a quote from Sleeping in Seattle, the title is in recognition of Nadia’s success in the YES Endurance Race Series where she placed first after the four race series. Finishing 20 points ahead of her nearest rival, she might even have scooped a modest cash prize for her troubles. Bravo!
This years Wineglass Marathon took place on October 3 and running the race was Clark and Jan Oudemool (aka, Chipper’s Dad). Clark romped home in 3:52:45; while Jan, running what is believed to be only his second marathon, finished in 4:16:05. Despite achieving a Boston qualification, Jan is alleged to have said ‘never again’ – yeah right, we’ve all heard that before!

Barefoot Guth ran an ‘almost back to full form’ half marathon on Sunday September 26 at the Niantic Half. Starting steady and gradually turning up the pace with a five finger shuffle she crossed the line third overall in the woman’s race and second in her age group. [Read more...]
After discovering that the second planned Bite of the Bluff conflicted with the Trails to a Cure race in Chester, CT the date has been changed. The run from the Monastery, Race Hill Rd, Guilford will now take place on Saturday September 18, 2010 at 8:00. The route is less technical than the other sections, so despite only being the day before Trails to a Cure, running both events is easily doable! [Read more...]

Under an initially overcast sky, they set off for a brief tour of Cockaponsset Forest before returning to feast on a selection of offers that ranged from grilled eggplant to peanut butter energy balls. The rules of badminton were tested to the limit and the conversation covered important topics such as the upcoming Trans-Rockies race and who was planning to run the Bluff! Guess you had to be there.
