Its really getting exciting now that the Bluff race is coming soon. I'm counting the days and pounding the trails...Hope to see you out there.

Douger - I don't think we've met yet, but I hope to see you out there soon. I'm heading into the home stretch of a project go-live (9/15) and will sadly miss another weekend with the BS'ers.

I ran a bite of the Bluff course this weekend, the day Hannah rolled in - and it was miserable. I went through a 2-liter water pack in the first 2:45. The humidity was unbearable & I had puddles (seriously!) of sweat in my shoes by the end. I stopped at 3:25, not finding any of the BS water caches by the aid stations.

So, I'm now thinking of revising my 'expectation' time (not a goal...just a target) to close to 7+ hours. 2 for each leg of the Gazelle & 3 for the Bluff loop.

Yikes!!!



I'm hoping to get some good long-runs in while I'm locked in at work in NC. Then, one last attempt to break the mental 'Bluff Barrier' before the race in October.
